PUPPY PROGRAM

4lbs to 14 months old

We take our Puppy Program very seriously.

We welcome puppies without requiring

them to be fixed!

The type of care will depend on the age of your puppy. Very young puppies have their own private play time, get tons love, stimulation, and activity from the team.

Once a puppy has reached the required completed vaccinations for Bordetella and at least 2/4 completed rounds of DHPP/DHLPP they get more freedom.

We do crate train all our puppies, they have daily naps and lunch.

We do ask for Rabies to be completed once the puppy reaches 6 months of age.

You and your puppy attend a Meet & Greet, and puppies must undergo a Temperament Test to ensure a safe fit in our facility.​

$80 Puppy and/or unaltered per night

 

$55 for one puppy up to 12 hours day

$200 for one puppy up to 12 hours day

Vaccination of puppies

Boarding an unaltered dog

Puppy shots are one of the crucial steps in assuring the puppy will have a healthy and happy puppyhood.  ​At Sitting Pretty, we do board very young dogs and there are risks when your dog is not fully vaccinated. We go to great lengths to ensure the health and safety of all the dogs.  Very young dogs might need to be kept separated from the other dogs.

Requirements:

  • Puppies are required to have completed vaccinations for Bordetella and at least 2/4 completed rounds of DHPP or DHLPP.

  • Fecal: Current in their 4 months, is required.

  • Canine influenza​ (non-core vaccine) needed 12 to 16 weeks.

  • Rabies is often completed at a later date and is required once the puppy reaches 6 months of age. 

  • Flea medication, we cannot allow a flea collar. 

  • Spayed/neutered after 9 months.

 

*Dogs whose Bordetella vaccines were last given more than 12 months ago will be required to have the intranasal vaccine (at least 72 hours) or the injectable vaccine (at least 7 days) prior to the date of service or check-in.

Unspayed females or unneutered males

We will take into account boarding and/or offer daycare to unspayed females as long as they are not in season, as well as unneutered males as long as they are respectful and responsive to commands.

Here is our rule of thumb when it comes to considering your dog:

  • if you have a puppy that is too young to be altered

  • if you have an AKC registered show dog that is currently showing

  • if there is a medical reason, such as seizures

We consider an unaltered dog a special needs dog and we charge as such. 

Puppy Grooming

If you have a puppy, you’ve come to the right place for bathing!  We are very knowledgeable when it comes to dealing with special needs while grooming.

Tip: Touching your puppies’ paws and ears frequently can help to make your dog more comfortable when it’s time for ear cleaning and nail trimming.
