Checking-In/Picking Up

Arriving for check-in is by appointment only.

We recommend that your pet arrives before 4:00pm and has dinner with us. This gives your pet time to acclimate to the pack, time to play, and have dinner before settling in for the night. 

 

We shall make every attempt to accommodate special requests for early check-ins, however there are additional fees for extending our regular business hours. Due to security and accuracy considerations, we regret we cannot accommodate check-ins or check-outs during non-business hours without an appointment. We open and close promptly with NO EXCEPTIONS. There is always a full charge for the first day of stay, regardless of check-in time. Please see our regular business hours.

 

Please allow at least 15 minutes in your schedule to ensure accuracy at check-in.

 

New clients MUST have a Guest Profile Form completed prior to their first stay. This permanent profile helps us understand your pet’s background, personality, feeding and special needs, so we can make your pet's visit as safe and as comfortable as possible. In addition, to ensure accuracy, each client must complete a check-in menu and grooming needs (if grooming) for each stay. If providing your own food, please prepare and label by name. If medicating, please properly label and provide all medication for the entire length of the stay. 

 

New clients MUST sign a general release agreement for their pet to stay with us.

 

All clients MUST complete an Overnight Check-In Form for each stay.

 

Controlled Arrival

For each pet’s safety, ALL pets entering and exiting Sitting Pretty must be on a leash until directed otherwise. Pets must have collars with identification upon arrival. All leashes, collars and harnesses will be returned to the owner or kept in labeled bins.

If you see another dog at our entrance gate, refrain from approaching with your dog. 

Wait until they are out of the area to approach our gate. All visits, drop-offs, and pick-ups are by appointment only.

 

Health/Temperament
Each guest must meet our published vaccinations standards before admittance. Pets requiring vaccination updates must have the vaccination(s) administered prior to check-in. Sitting Pretty reserves the right to refuse admittance to any pet guest, for any reason, at any time, who lacks proof of vaccinations, displays signs of untreated or potentially contagious conditions, demonstrates aggressive behavior, or who fails our standard health and temperament policies.

 

Belongings
We provide comfortable, clean bedding and blankets which comfort your pet and adhere to our high standards. Unfortunately, due to safety and sanitary considerations, we cannot accept any personal belongings (toys, beds, blankets, etc.) other than a disposable t-shirt for separation anxiety. Dogs should be wearing collars with tags. Your leashes, collars and harnesses may be kept in one of the labeled bins.

 

Visitation
At Sitting Pretty, our pet guests are also on vacation. Visitation during boarding is both confusing and disruptive for the pet, and therefore is highly discouraged.

 

Pick-Up/Delivery

We can work with you for trans-paw-tation. Ask us for details and availability, the average rate is $20.

Check-out time is by 11:00am.

Late check-outs after 11:00am will require additional care and you will be charged a $15 late check-out fee, unless scheduled for grooming or daycare service. Please make an appointment and send a text when you are on the way; this is for the safety and welfare of all the pets, and maintaining a low-stress environment.

 

We do our best to stagger the arrivals and departures of the pets. If you find another dog at our entrance gate, refrain from approaching with your dog. Wait until they are out of the area to approach our gate. All visits, drop-offs and pick-ups are by appointment only.

 

Pets not picked up prior to closing time will be considered overnight guests and be charged an additional night’s boarding stay.

 

Due to security and accuracy considerations, we regret we cannot accommodate check-ins and check-outs during non-business hours. Our pet-care staff cares for pet guests 24 hours per day, 365 days per year, but pets may only be dropped off/picked up during published hours by appointment.
